Evaporate

Days are long gone,

when You were my champion,

I desired none,

but only to serve Your Divine and transcendental

echelon of spiritual warriors.

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

I stumbled and You made me humbled,

but I never lost taste

when serving His Divine Grace.

I carried out His orders

of chanting, reading, and dancing,

and His promise

of becoming happy

manifested without delay.

Alas, these days, it’s as if,

my little puddle of spiritual credits,

has long evaporated

due to the scorching rays

of selfish desires,

coming from my Sun-like

burning heart.

No taste for japa,

Neither kirtan,

Nor dancing,

and what to speak of

reading!?

All my senses have been dried up

by the poison-like liquid called lust,

which resides within the corners of my heart.

It’s a pity situation,

to be so dried up

of spiritual emotions

within this whole, infinite creation.

I am wandering about

like a person in a desert,

hoping to squeeze a drop of mercy

from any little stone and rock that I see.

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

I really can’t wait any more time,

for Your Shower Divine,

to put out the fire burning in my mind

and my heart to unbind!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

please wash away,

all that is binding my heart,

so, I can taste again,

the sweetness of

Your Transcendental Flute Divine.

Your dried up want to be servant

is signing off his petition.

My Only One

I have climbed the highest mountains,

I have walked the longest distance,

I have searched all the land,

to look for wisdom and for love,

but alas, only barren fields,

is what I have encountered on the path!

I journey through my soul’s dark night,

fighting the demons all inside,

waiting for the bright light

to illuminate my sight.

I have tasted some bitter fruits,

I have stumbled on the thorns of pride,

and burned myself on the fire of lust,

but yet, somehow,

by some Divine arrangement,

I managed to keep You in my heart,

‘cause You remain my only One!

Strangers come and go,

crossing my path,

sometimes, lifting me up,

sometimes, bringing me down,

yet, somehow, You remain my only One!

Adventures start and end,

people cross my mind and heart,

tears and smiles paint my face,

scars remain,

leaving me without any gains,

yet, somehow, You remain my only One!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

in happiness or distress,

in loss or gain,

 victory or defeat,

You remain my only One!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

make me move according to

Your Love Song Divine,

make me be the servant

I was always meant to be,

clear my heart

and allow me to act out of Love,

so, I can please You,

and everyone in sight!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

there is no one but You,

who remains my only One!

This pretend to be servant is

submitting his heart

at Thy Lotus Feet!
